Dating a cousins cousin?

My kids and I had an argument about this exact scenario. I said it’s a bad idea because if one couple’s relationship ends badly, it will place a strain on the other one, but it’s not like it’s incest. My teenagers insisted that this was incest, so they now joke about how I’m a big proponent of incest.

I probably misread this, but it sounds like he’s your aunt’s husband‘s sisters son. I don’t see any problem you’re not blood related at all.

If they’d met through friends, think how long they could date before finding out they have any relatives connected to each other! Probably not until they each received the same wedding invitation.

There are billions of people in the world. I do not need to date any cousin's cousin, or step parent's relation.

Sure it's not incest, but I like to branch out a bit more. Shop local for vegetables, not spouses.

This is totally fine. I’ve met my cousins’ other cousins literally once, my cousins’ weddings. Not only are we not blood related but we have basically no interaction at all, so I don’t see how it’s anything resembling family.

Oh, this is funny because it actually happened to my dad! His mom was Smith and his dad was a Jones. His boy cousin on the Smith side wound up marrying his girl cousin on the Jones side. They did wind up getting divorced but it isn't awkward.

No blood or legal relationship to you. The are related by marriage. I have cousins who married their brother's brother in law. (two siblings marrying siblings)

You aren't related its fine. Dating your first cousin would be super gross and not sure why you would need to do that given we have vehicles to drive away from our communities and dating platforms to meet people.
