Incest is relations between brothers and sisters, parents and children, uncles and aunts and children or grandparents and children.
1st cousins can legally marry each other. Do you know why? Because it is not incest. So if that's so, then this person who is related to you ONLY VIA MARRIAGE is not related to you. Go forth and procreate, or whatever. |

Totally fine.
I actually know someone whose dad got married and she had never met the new wife's kids until the wedding. They were all in 30s and 40s. She eventually marrried her dad's, wife's son. It sounds super creepy, but no blood relation and they met as adults. |
| That's dumb you aren't related. That said, whenever a relationship involves family you have to be honorable. If a relationship ends badly, it will reflect poorly on you and possibly turn your relationships with family. I've seen it happen. |

This happened in my extended family.
Couple dated who were not related but met through family. My family is sarcastic. Someone made an incest joke every time they entered the room. |
Sarcasm is one thing, being an asshole is another. Sounds like your family fits into the latter category. |
Not all states will allow first cousins to marry. |
+1 Not consanguineous or a legal relation. |

im dating my 1st cousin at 12
(scared face) |
| It's illegal in 31 states for first cousins to marry. Otherwise it's fine to marry a more distant cousin. |
| There's no blood mixing. Bang on! |
Nobody bat an eye when twins marry twins. Not sure why it's weird in your case. |

I had an aunt and uncle who were married almost 60 years who had this cousins-of-cousins relationship.
Go for it. |
| Yeah, I’m side-eyeing those of you defending a relationship between first cousins. 😬 |
| As long as you aren’t first cousins he’s considered fair game. |
| I did this when I was a teenager, dated my cousin's cousin. There is no way this is incest. What an idiot! |
