| I do know a colleague that got pregnant naturally with her first and only child at the age of 45. Her son is now a perfectly healthy teenager. It is possible but know it’s a long shot. |
| There is a chance, but why? So many risks, so much work. You will be 60 when that kid is 14. I would think you can get pregnant, I would be worried about your health, baby's health, possibility of so many issues. I am same age, and the thought of being pregnant just gives me a panic attack. But, I am not you, so good luck! |
Sorry, didn't see your update! Wishing you the best! (don't let me ruin your joy with my negativity, sorry again!) |
That's wonderful! Congrats, OP! My grandmother had her youngest at 45 and my aunt (the child my grandmother had at 45) had twins at 44. Neither had any complications and had healthy babies. Best wishes! |
| Keep us updated OP. wishing you the best with this pregnancy and baby |
| Awesome OP!! I am 39, about to start trying for #2, got pregnant with #1 on the first try. You give me hope! And I hope week 10 is treating you well! |
Op that is great and congrats but there is bout hope for most women your age. Really an outlier. |
| It’s too late. Please don’t try. You already have two. |
Guess you were wrong, doctor. |
Why do people respond without reading the thread, or at least the last page of posts? She's already pregnant, doofus. |
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
|
| My mom had my younger brothers, conceived naturally, at 43 & 47. |
| Congrats on the BFP and for the other posters it really comes down to your lab work, I was also told I am too old but then my AMH came back at 5.5 ng/ml shocked my doctor and proves I am in for a chance. I am still having regular cycles too. |
Hm, no. I am 43 (will be 44 at delivery) and am pregnant with a healthy baby, #3. Conceived naturally on our second try. My best friend got pregnant by accident at 44 last year but ended up terminating early on because her kids are teens and neither she nor her DH wanted more kids, so she has no idea if that fetus was healthy or not. I know many people who are having kids over 40. I live in NYC btw, and having kids in your early to mid 40s is very common here. In fact, I hardly know any moms who had kids before 35 and only 2 moms who had a baby before 30. |
| Thrilled for you, OP!!!! Sending so much love and yay! |
