Have you ever taken a picture of a random hot guy with your cell phone while out in public?

Never, that's so rude.

My 18 year old some watch a 40-something try to sneak a picture of a girl in a thong (not string more Brazilian) and he said to the guy, "is your memory really that bad, mental shot dude."

I find it pathetic.

OP is talking about women and asking pictures of man...not the other way around.

I answered that ... NO. I also showed that even an 18 year old with raging hormones knows better.

Yeah, I think that young guys are usually pretty wary of doing this sort of thing. It's been drummed into them that it's creeper behavior.

Took some guts for an 18 year old guy to scold a 40 year old man over it - good for him!

No. But I have taken random surreptitious shots of people for other reasons - a japanese guy on a train (in japan) who looked like Mr. Bean, a man on the subway in Beijing who was carrying a Thomas the Train set my son would have loved, etc...

I think it's a little creepy no matter why it's done - my examples included.

Gross. I thought this was probably what the dude who took a pic of me was doing. Why else take a random pic of a girl as you walk by? So weird

Wow, the prudes are really out today. I've been tempted but have not done it. If I'm taking a picture and a hot person happens to be in view, I'll include them in the shot but I won't zoom in just on them or anything.

Prude does not mean what you think it means.

I hope you're okay with guys being tempted and photographing ladies. I'm sure you don't have double standards.

+ a million.

It has never crossed my mine to photograph a random person at all and I'm from the camera phone social media generation.

And, yet, you probably have inadvertently included a ton of random people in the pictures you've taken throughout the years. So you have taken pictures of random people...maybe you even have some hot guys in those pictures. Who knows?

No. It's not.

What about People of Walmart? Is it okay to take pictures of ugly people?

I would bet that it's 99% men, creepily taking photos of women and other men.

Like that former Playboy bunny who took the picture of the older lady in the locker room and posted it?

Come on. Women do this, too.

Right, hence the 99% assertion. Please don't tell me you're seriously suggesting that more women do this kind of creepy, objectifying crap than men?

In my 38 years, I have never been in the company of another female who has done this, or done it myself. Can you say the same for both?

O.k. There are lots of things that other people do that I don't do. Do I think that men are the only ones who take pictures of unsuspecting, random strangers? Nope. I think that there are females that do that sort of thing, too.

If there was a hot guy walking along a beach boardwalk and a woman "accidentally" snapped a picture of him from her hotel balcony, would I be surprised? Nope.

WTF? This is a scenario I've never seen anyone do. It really just is not something that women do or conceive of. What a weird thing to come up with.

Yes, when I was a teen/twenty something my friends and would sit inside sipping tea with our little pinkies up all proper like. We would never, ever, EVER notice a hot guy walking past us. EVER. And we would never giggle to each other about it. And lord knows if we were standing outside on the balcony during beach week taking pictures of our view.....we never, ever would have noticed much less taken a picture of that hot guy walking by.

You sound very young and naive. Summer vacation getting boring, and ready for school to start?

Notice? Sure. Tell a friend about a ridiculously attractive guy? Sometimes. Take a picture? No, sorry , this is just not something that women do. There's a big, massive, enormous difference between noticing, and photographing. I'm shocked you're even making this leap.
