Visiting parents in another state, change in viewpoints

OP, it's ridiculous that he wants to see his family every other month and will only tolerate once a year for your family.

I think you should put your foot down about this. Having a relationship with their aunts, cousins and grandparents will be incredibly beneficial for your children.

One more thing, while I would accept DH not wanting to go on these visits, I wouldn't tolerate him banning me from seeing my family.
