Sleepaway camp: Top or bottom bunk for 10 yr old girl

Uh, weren't there railings? I've never seen a top bunk without a railing.

Uh, have you ever seen bunk beds outside of an IKEA or a PBK catalog? Summer camp is bare bones. No crib rails.

No railings at my DD's camp either. She prefers the top bunk (and has never fallen off, at least not that she's mentioned to me!)
