| An ex-friend of mine was horrible at tipping. It got so bad that our mutual friends and I stopped inviting her out to eat with us. |

On the rare occasion when my FIL picks up the check we have to do this. |
| Ugh. Nice job OP. You are a good person. |
| $10 at least. If all short a few bucks, it adds up. You coworker should go to chipotle instead. You all went to a full service restaurant and spent only 53 bucks and then wanted to short the waiter. |

$10+ change to make it an even amount.

I can't stand people who will sit and drink/eat $53 worth of nothing they couldn't have consumed at home for $10 or less and then want to stiff the person who served them over and over again.
On a $53 check, I would have tipped $11. $12 if the server was especially attentive or if we were especially annoying -- which I bet your group was. |
I've done this before too. I don't feel right being cheap on a tip when I've had good service. In this situation I would have left $11. |
Omg, I aclways leave an extra tip when I go out with coworkers. They run the servers constantly, buy the cheapest meals, demand individual checks and I get the impression barely tip (from the ones that use cash and worry if they pay an extra dollar). |

| Cheating a good waiter is like stealing. It's pretty bad. |
| $12 or more. I would have done the same thing and added to the tip. Probably right at the table with the comment t's earned for dealing with my diet regiment! |
|
I bet your cheap friend was also the one in the group who made the most money.
