s/o what counts as looking "put together"?

here's another one of her. I think she looks really good here too though super casual. Her thinness does accentuate to her look.

Also, if you're wearing something form-fitting, wear appropriate undergarments that fit!

You get this right?

Gwyneth's hair is a mess. But her clothes fit and she managed to put some bracelets and necklaces on which gives the appearance of putting in some effort. Otherwise she'd look like she fell out of bed, and sorry that's not a cute look.

Gwyneth, Olivia P and Reese still look fairly frumpy to me in those pics. But those looks are definitely better than the sweats and yoga pants that plague the nation.

Reece looks frumpy because she's slightly overweight (or at least not thin) and her shirt is wrinkled.

Gwenyth and Olivia look great though super casual. I think these are actually great photos for showing you what thinness can do for you.

WHAT?

+1 I'm convinced this board is full of eating disordered women.

NP. Oh come on, Reece is a notorious apple shape. She admits it herself. All excess weight goes straight to her tummy and it's occasionally visible.

You do not have to be tall and rail thin. Eva is fit but short and curvy. Even though she is not preppy, her look looks put together because she has clear, blemish free, healthy looking skin, groomed eyebrows, hair minimally styled, fitted clothes. It helps that she is really fit.

Other than that, clean hair, minimal make up (under eye concealer if you're getting up at night, mascara, blush, lip gloss) can do wonders.

Get a pedicure if you're wearing sandals.

I disagree with the bolded. The woman in the first picture in 12:18's post is on the larger side and she looks very put together. It's a simple look, but her clothes fit, are flattering on her body, and her accessories and shoes really pull the outfit together. And I don't care how thin you are, running tights and a tee shirt is not a "put together" look.

lol I was just coming in to say that she still looks frumpy because she't so fat! Compare her to the girl underneath her. The second photo is tons more casual but she looks good because she's thin.

But not everyone has eating disorders. Only thin people can look good? You people are ridiculous.

So if you're not overweight like that girl in the skirt you have an eating disorder?

LOL Ok

No. But it is pretty obvious when someone is obsessed with working out, running and/or eating (or not). If they have already had kids, and their bones are protruding, I think "eating disorder". You can be healthy and not obese or gaunt. There is a healthy middle ground.

Reese is short and curvy too. I notice she needs to wear more heels than the taller women to make even her casual looks put together as height makes people look proportionate.

Us short women really have to try much harder than our taller counterparts.

Honestly I've put on some weight recently due to a medical condition that is finally under control and the thing I hate the MOST about it is that my typical casual weekend clothes - leggings, v-necks, open sweaters in the winter, etc - look soooo frumpy now that I'm a little bigger. I can't wait to lose weight and get back to where a t-shirt actually looks cute and oversized on purpose, not baggy and frumpy.

Dude, stop it already. You keep making things worse. We get it that you like skinny chicks.

So how about asking the question in a way that's less likely to bring out the pro-ana contingency:

Assuming you are a regular sized person, or an irregular sized person - before you've gotten down to your #goalweight, #blessed, what are the ways to look put together?

Dude newsflash: there's multiple people posting in here about skinny chicks.

I think she's cute and she has a beautiful face. But she'd definitely look better if she lost 10-15 pounds. I think she knows it too because you can see that her weight really fluctuates between projects and awards season. She'll be skinny again by September for the Emmy's just watch.
