Did you or do your kids go to school with children of a celebrity or famous person?

So maybe she makes breakfast and dinner. Maybe the kid begged to get school lunch.

My children attended the Lycee in Los Angeles when the Jolie-Pitt kids were (briefly) there. Also the kids of many other famous parents - there are lots in LA and their kids have to attend school like every other kid. Even in the publics. The public we left had the kids of Alessandra Ambrosia, Victoria Smurfitt and Toni Colette - amongst others.

I too went to elementary and high school and college with many kids of celebrities. One of my closest friends in elementary school is the son of a very famous singer. My older sisters always encouraged play dates with him in hopes of his dad picking him up, he never did, it was always the nanny. But, when I hung at his house, his dad was very nice, as was his-then stepmom who was also very very famous. At that point we were beyond our parents making plans for us so my parents never interacted with them. My dad did have to call up the famous dad several times to hit him up for money for the annual fund. Says he was always very meek and friendly and generous.
I was also friends with the son of another well-known but dead singer in college (and ironically enough he now performs with my elementary school buddy). He didn't mind talking about his dad and probably enjoyed the fact that having a dead famous dad got him a fair number of girls.

My DD is now friends with the daughter someone mentioned previously in this thread. Her mom (also famous) is super-nice and glad to facilitate friendships for her daughter. The key is to just be chill.

Apparently Emma Watson did not find that funny.

My niece was there at the same time. Emma barely attended classes. Also here at the same time, Kevin Bacon's daughter, and Demi Moore's daughter (dropped out, I think).

Fairfax County native here. Attended high school with a well-known senator's daughter, a now-famous and now-retired general, a congressman's daughter. We all rode the bus together and so lived (modestly) nearby one another. Our homes were all newer, but not at all remarkable.

I went to Princeton when Prince Ali of Jordan was there. I got a kick out of seeing his bodyguards all over the place. Ali dressed very casually, usually in jeans.

Unless your niece lived next door to Emma Watson or took every class with Emma Watson, there is no way she could know how frequently EW attended classes.

At Princeton with Brooke Shields. She was very nice. She had a small, close group that always surrounded her.

One of my friends had a class with her and said she was intelligent. She didn't use "Portman" at Harvard (because that isn't her real name), and she wasn't in the student directory.

I had a grad student friend who had been there when Rivers Cuomo was enrolled (the Weezer singer). Rivers was "on leave" when I was there, apparently, but came back after I graduated. My friend said that he had a leg brace and looked homeless when he was there, and he was really quiet and sad.

I once ran into Natalie Portman and Tatyana Ali at a concert at Brandeis. I chatted with Tatyana Ali for a sec (she was gracious). Natalie Portman had no makeup on. I remember being surprised at how tiny she is IRL.

Just name the names, no one reading will know who you are.

We must be from the same area. Matt Schaub went to my high school (many, many, many years after I graduated). My brother went to school (and knew) a couple of the guys from Jackass.

Older sister was in HS with Cher's daughter (now son). They were not close & nothing memorable happened that I can recall.
