Some people just don't like it for some bizarre reason. Or perhaps can't be bothered to actually read the policy. (link posted 3 times in this thread and people still spout off about the school system not allowing it)

I'm not sure police have the authority to run people out of a public space like a school playground during weekends or non-school hours. Your taxes are paying for that playground and have a right to be there.

As others have said, restrictions are for students during school hours only. It's a safety issue.

Our area schools have started fencing playgrounds and locking them up, which really ticks me off. We have very few public parks.
