Gangs recruiting in ES

Anonymous wrote:How do you define a "gang" in MCPS though? Seriously?

A group of kids who hang out on their motorbikes, smoke and wear red bandanas?

Its not like there is a gun problem or a knife problem, or a major drug dealing problem. THAT kind of gang doesn't get to MCPS or if it tried, it would be dissipated through expulsions, surely.

lol @ your naivety

I lost count of the gang fights that occurred in front of my classroom door one year. so glad to be out of the classroom

The principal would never admit we had gang issues - even when we brought in an expert. So sad how innocent some folks are

Most members are quiet b/c they need to stay under the radar to recruit and sell drugs. But if something starts in their 'hoods, it ends up in the schools. It's all about turf wars.

expulsion - lol

Are you writing a fictional book by any chance? there is no evidence in what you say being connected to "gangs". I think you're just using it as a term to define disruption, which in itself is not only incorrect, but very stoopid.
