True but it is super funny. Kind of like Trump getting mad at the leaker. |
| Op, K seems somewhat easier than PK3 for some reason. You have a shot at any of these schools. Last year I put ITS as my top choice for K "knowing" that we wouldnt get in. Well, we got a decent wait list number and were offered a spot the day before school started. We took it and my child is having the most fabulous year. Good luck! |
| We're not on the Hill, but are also doing the lottery for K and, similarly, trying for schools (WoTP, a few others, and ITS/CMI) that would normally be very difficult to get into for Prek, but seem to have had a few K slots in the last few years. |
Really? I don't remember it that way. |
How old is your oldest? NP here but I distinctly remember it being all about Haynes, Cap City, Stokes, Two Rivers and Lamb. I hardly every see or hear Cap City or Haynes being a top pick unless it's someone that lives nearby. |

TR - Young
TR - 4th We got into TR 4th for PK3 and declined the spot because we didn't think DD was ready for such a large school/classroom setting at 3 years old. No sibling/teacher preference. We decided to wait and try again in K. |
I hope you don't regret that. |
DP. I pulled my 3 year old from PK3 because she was overwhelmed and the class was a terrible fit. You can't torture your 3 year old just to hold a spot for K ... |
You better have some safeties. The chances are astronomically small. |
I mean, for K, everyone has a safety. |
yep. compulsory education ftw! |
Because those schools both expanded. They will not have slots like that this year. |
PP here. I'm with you. It just wasn't the best timing and wasn't a good fit. If we don't get in for K, we have other options. Wont cry about it! Good luck, PP! |
We'll be ok! |
i don't think that's correct. There are a few new K spots every year because class size gets bigger. |
