Is my sis being passive agressive or am I too sensitive?

Way too sensitive! I feel sorry for your family if this is how you act normally.

In the future, Amazon gift wrapping.

This is what I thought too. It will go under the tree on Christmas morning, she's just letting you know.

Or do you guys have fraught, passive-aggressive in general?
If not, I really wouldn't think twice.

^^ meant fraught, passive-aggressive communication.

OP, DCUM is unanimous that you are crazy...

That may be the least passive-aggressive thing I've ever read. You are REALLY REALLY REALLY way too sensitive. Your poor sister.

+1
OP if you read negative intent into a simple message like this, I don't know how you make it through a day.

definitely too sensitive.

My SIL said this to me once. I felt bad so now I only order from amazon and select a gift bag. I am not going to ship things here, wrap them, then ship them out to her, so this is a compromise.

Wow waaaay sensitive. I'd have said the same thing as her and I have NO problem wrapping the gifts that come shipped from family. It's part of the fun!

Too sensitive

Most of the gifts I give aren't acknowledged. I'd be happy someone let me know it arrived.

I think her comment was totally normal and didn't mean anything negative at all. I think you are too sensitive. She just wants you to know the kid hasn't seen it yet. I send all my presents directly to relatives in CA addressed to "ChristmasFirst Name LastName". They slap a bow on the Amazon box. Why would I pay extra for wrapping or pay shipping, wrap something and then pay to shop it again?

I don't even care if she gets my kids anything but seriously don't act like you had less time than your sister who has a 2 yo did. You just didn't want to wrap which is fine. Quit making it sound like you're some victim here.

It's not that hard to have a two year old.

Said no parent ever.

Right?! Mom of a 2y/o here whose head is just spinning with all the shit I have to do this year. Add baking cookies and figuring out tips for daycare teachers to shopping for gifts for a gazillion relatives, trying to wrap said gifts with toddler/pet level chaos all around me, traveling with toddler/pets, etc. etc. etc. Somehow it was easier last year. Not easy, but easier.

Wow, really? Just because you have kids and OP doesn't doesn't mean that he/she has more time than you.
