No Country for Old Women

You have a very narrow and misguided definition of beautiful if you think women decline at 22.

Older women are hot. Older men, less so.

If you look at any ranking, like People's sexiest men and women, and so on.. the average age of the men on that list is a lot higher than the average age of the women on that list.

About half of the last 10 men on the list have been 40+:

compared to 2 women in the last 12 years:

I hate to break it to you, but media companies are almost all male owned. There is a reason they push the "older men are hot" narrative. Doesn't mean women believe it.

Speak for yourself. I'm 31 and have never looked better.

I just saw a picture of Bernadette Peters. 68 years old and she can still bring the heat.

But, as for invisibility, it's nothing a 20 year old guy doesn't deal with. Actually, as a guy, I felt invisible until I turned 40 or so. Then people started to take me more seriously.

As a woman, I feel I am taken more seriously the older I get. I also feel like I get more sexual attention. No contest between when I was in my early 20s

Bernadette Peters is smoking.

I'm 37 and sure don't feel invisible. What's in your koolaid?

J Lo definitely is in her physical prime now at 47.

In her 20s?

Not so much as today.

Your theory just fell to pieces.

My breasts are not as perky, I've had 2 children, so, that. But sexually and emotionally, I'm waaaaay better at this age then I was then. (late 40s).

And guys, just so you know. Yes, you are a bit less cut. You are balder. You may be grey and/or have a few wrinkles, too. But sexually, I'd never trade a 50 year old man in for an 18 year old. Gross. older men care about my satisfaction and I love that, and I love them. You care about your families and your job and your people and yep, you are all that.

Speak for yourself.

Um. I think I just did.

But so many women in this country marry in their 30s or late 20's. How could your hypothesis possibly be true?

Serious question, have you experienced menopause and do you still have a sex drive? I'm a 50 year-old man who still feels like a teenage boy, and I wonder about the sexual aspect of dating women my own age or older.

Yes I have gone trough menopause and have a very high sex drive. I enjoy sex more now than in my 20s and 30s.

Most beautiful years behind you at 25?? Invisible at 30? That's ridiculous. I'm not denying it's an issue for women but it happens way, way later. Like 40s-50s (though not for everyone).

And just to add - I don't feel invisible yet and I'm 46. I'm sure it will happen eventually because that's life, but you shouldn't be thinking about this crap at 30. What a waste of your energy.
