Any INTJ women?

Anonymous
Another one, here. Work in technology. Married, one kid. I'm a happy f*cking camper. Sorry this one is hard for you, OP.

Ditto - I'm an INTJ woman though sometimes I come up ENTJ but that was when I was younger. In tech as well - programmer. Married, kids, friends, good work. All is well. You might be more extreme or need more alone time but I wouldn't call you strange!

PP above - just googled this and:

"Well, for starters, INTJ females are the most rare personality type among women. According to 16personalities.com, INTJ women make up only 0.8% of the population. According to capt.org, only 1-3% of females are INTJs (the most rare of all types, tied with INTPs), whereas 2-6% of males are INTJs."

WOW!!! Who knew I was that strange!

Another INTJ woman here. I belong to a lot of communities and groups but never feel like I fully belong/always feel a little isolated. So I totally get where you are coming from, OP. But I do like my own company and have a good family life. Good luck to you.

I'm related to an INTJ. I wouldn't use the word weird, I'd say eccentric and interesting.

I am an ENFP whose closest friends are all INTJs. I really value the way they think so differently about the world than I do. We drive each other crazy at times, but we also balance each other in tangible ways. Strangely, these two types seem to work well together. I'm sorry OP is feeling isolated or weird and wonder if a new friend or two might help.

I'm INTP, definitely more P than J though. Also in tech and female. We're not weird, just unconventional. My brutal honesty gets me in trouble.

I am an INFJ. I'm ever weirder. There are only 1% of us and probably a smaller percentage are women.
Anonymous wrote:For kicks, one of my friends suggested I take the MBTI. I've been going to counseling, so I had my counselor administer the real instrument, then took a bunch of online tests. It's official. I'm weird.

It's somewhat of a relief, because I always sort of wondered if I had Asperger's or something, but it's also a pretty isolating "diagnosis" (and loneliness was what I'm in counseling for to begin with).

So, is anyone else weird like me?

Another INTJ femaile here, happily married to an ENFP. I don't view it as a hinderence to a content life...I do hate getting phone calls though! (why can't people just text or email?)

And they all seem to be posting on this dcum thread.

What is the scientific proof of this? 16personalities says so?

My wife is an INTJ.

What would you have PP? Zero affinity to a type. We can't discuss brown hair, because there are infinite shades and nuances of brown hair?

We aren't 16 clones, but basics like Introvert and Extrovert are well established, amongst other personality traits.

We've been explaining the world through binary sorting and further categorization in all fields for centuries, to include hard science.

I'm an INTJ - happily married mom and lawyer. I'm definitely not on the spectrum. I've always had friends but I'm definitely kind of serious and was never the life of the party type.

Interesting thread - What do you think sets this personality type apart? I think it's a common type for lawyers so there may be more of us here than elsewhere.

Come on INTJers, you are smarter than this! The Myers Briggs has terrible validity and reliability problems. Use your keen analytical mind and sharp google skills to do a little research.
