OP Here - I've wanted to try brisket! I'll do that next time! Thanks! |
Were you able to enjoy it or were you physically ill by then? Hopefully you started eating before 9 pm. |
I cook pulled pork in the crock pot all the time. It turns out fine. |
Um, everyone cooks pulled pork in the crock pot, the oven dries it out. Dont drown it in LIQUID.

Wrong on both counts. I have nothing against crock pot pulled pork like some of the PPs, but slow-roasted pork in the oven is amazing, and not dry at all. |
Because you have taete buds born in a trailer. |

Thank you OP for this recipe! It was excellent! I coo shoulder alot, mostly in the smoker, but its too cold for me now. This oven method is great! |
Wow, that's alot of electricity.
I use a crock pot. And those who have eaten said it was great and they are bbq eating people. |
8-10 hours in a crockpot is all you need. We made some last week and it was amazing.
You could always do your oven recipe for 10 hours.... I don't think that last 4 is necessary. |
I was going to say, 275 is too hot! Glad you corrected that, OP.
We make pulled pork in the oven for 10-12 hours at 225F. We work from home, so we start it at 6AM and are tantalized all day by the aroma. We use an oven roasting bag, which I learned from some old ladies in NC. It comes out delicious, moist, yet with the crisp outside crust and crisp rendered fat. |
+1 I do it all the time and Eastern NC people tell me it is great. |
