Obama's citizenship- how low can our national discourse go?

Yes, it's hard to imagine a teenaged mother making poor choices! Never happens.

There's poor choices ... and then there's having unprotected sex with several African non-traditional students as a 17 and 18 year old.

Makes me want to roll my eyes to the back of my head. He uses this crap to spur the anti-obama sentiment to help get himself elected in the primaries, and now he reverses himself, like he's doing with abortion, deporting all illegal immigrants on a mass scale. What a phony. I hope you Trump supporters are ready for my backpedaling and reversing.

All Trump had to say is that he believe Obama was born in the US and it would've died down.
Instead, he chose to again lie about how things happened and what his role was in it.

He is a bold-faced liar

And Hillary wouldn't know the truth if it bit her in the backside.

same for trump.. and his rather large backside now that we know just how overweight he is.

Between Clinton's pneumonia and Trump's racist flame fanning and inane idiotic birther comments, our national discourse has really reached a new low.

You are part of the problem. Getting sick is human, and nothing whatsoever to do with national discourse or Donald Trump, racist extraordinaire. Perhaps you just wrote inartfully and meant to say you can't believe people are treating it like it's a capital crime.

OP here. The latter, yes. Clinton got sick. She's back on the campaign trail. Let's stop with the health conspiracies and focus on real policy and national security issues. Oh wait, Trump doesn't want to talk about those because he doesn't want to give his plans away to the enemy....

Hmmm.... which candidate was it that gave an economic policy speech just yesterday?
And, I totally agree with him about our military plans and national security. Our current administration has said way too much publicly in the way of their plans. Why telegraph our moves to our enemies? Yet, this same administration has been not at all transparent when it comes to domestic policies and initiatives. One has to wonder why this is.

What the hell does being African have anything to do with it? Ignorant post. You do know his father was a serious academic right? He may have had personal failings but Obama had two very well educated and intellectual parents. Perhaps that was the attraction.

Obama is clearly an American and has been a great president.

It is a shame that HRC's racist 2008 campaign was so divisive and raised these issues that we should have left behind with Jim Crow!

I get you don't want to tell your enemies where you're going to be, but Trump's ideas about fighting ISIS is all in his head. He claims he knows how to deal with ISIS better than the generals. Why do you take him at his word? It's naive and stupid to just take him at his word, especially considering he has zero foreign policy and military experience. Other than the policy of murdering the family members of terrorists (which generals and lawyers have all stated was illegal), what other ideas has he put forth about how to deal with ISIS?

Are you serious? Trump has no real policy agenda. He even admitted his "plan" is to gather smart people around him and then pick which of their plans he likes best. He thinks he can run the country like a hotel and casino. Which is why when he runs it into the ground he'll just declare bankruptcy and stick Americans with the debt resulting from his poor choices- like he's done to many of his contractors and business partners.

Look, HRC's campaign in 2008 did start the ball rolling on his citizenship being questioned.

HOWEVER, do you REALLY think the R's would have been all sweet and nice and left it alone otherwise? BULL and SHIT.

I have an insane conservative friend who takes it a step further and thinks that even thought his original citizenship is not really a question, that he would have had to renounce his citizenship to live in Indonesia. So, you know, a 4 year old had his citizenship stripped because his mom decided to move him to Indonesia.

Yes, that's his plan. He would let the country default and just print more money. He doesn't understand that there's a huge difference in a country's credit rating going down the tubes vs. his business doing so.

If you're worried about the country's credit worthiness, why would you support HRC with her proposed expansion of entitlements? Obama's entitlement expansion failed to pay off as promised and worsened the country's fiscal outlook.

Even if that were true, what does it have to do with our president and his work? He's a traditional family man, no cheating scandals. Why would I care hour many men his mother slept with?

Why did Trump respond the way he did to the reporter who asked about Obama’s citizenship?

Simple. He sees it as an opportunity to once again remind the American people that it was the Hillary campaign that started the whole birthed movement to begin with......

Right? Wtf do obama's Deceased mother's choices as a teenager have to do with anything?

He went on to Ivy League schools, married a kickass fellow lawyer, has a lovely close-knit family and not even a whif of personal scandal in 8 years. You can disagree with the guy all you want, but his personal life is the American ideal.
