Best places to live with easy driving commute to Georgetown

Hat tip to you! After all the VA boosting, I was wondering if anyone was going say the obvious. For $2M you might be able to swing
a river view on Potomac Ave.

Also, just into MD off of MacArthur Boulevard is a hidden 'hood called Brookmont. Whitman HS cluster: one the best public schools in the country.

Both of these areas are close to the earlier mentioned Capitol Crescent trail: DH could bike to work!

OP asked about an easy driving commute, not the options for getting on a bike and arriving sweaty and smelly.

While OP is in the hospital recovering from hearing about bike commute possibilities, she can also see that Palisades or Brookmont, with its better public schools, also offer an easy driving commute. Or maybe she can post the type of commute DH had an interest in doing?

Bethesda and McLean really are the two best options if you have a $2 million budget and want very good public schools from ES to HS.

Georgetown. Why would you even live anywhere else with that budget?

I only know three families who live in MoCo. All three send their kids to private because of overcrowding at MoCo publics. Make sure you're okay with the MoCo publics if you're going to decide on a longer drive to Georgetown than some of the Va neighborhoods others have mentioned here.

Because she also asked for good public schools.

OP didn't specify driving. Cycling to work is the way to have a healthy, pleasant commute and get your work-out at the same time. You would be a fool not to consider it.

I know hundreds of families if MoCo, 90 percent of whom send their kids to public.

NP. While I do think biking to work is a great option, the title is "Best places to live with easy driving commute to Georgetown"...

LOL, that's so cute.

We live in Chevy Chase MD and both work in Georgetown - 5 minute walk to Bethesda metro then a quick ride.

Even driving it is around 30 minutes -- 20 during off times

A quick ride to what in Georgetown from the Bethesda Metro?

LOL. I was wondering the same.
