Then get over it. |
Install a mailbox that is big enough for most packages you get delivered and that locks for your unit at the steps. |
That sounds good in theory, but it won't work in real life. The landlord probably regrets renting to these people, but there just isn't much he can do, short of talking to them and asking them to cut it out - especially since he's long distance. If he bugs the new tenants too much, they can threaten to report him for housing violations, at which point the whole place will be shut down. Landlords want problem tenants even less than their neighbors want them, especially in this kind of situation. |
Nice. You are the only sane one here, OP. |
BS. Call the Postmaster General. File a complaint. What they are doing is illegal. |
Why do they have keys to the neighbors unit? |
Get the packages delivered to work. |
Excellent suggestion what about it, op? |
I would get the PO box or have stuff delivered to my work. No, you shouldn't have to do that, yes it sucks but don't make waves unless things get worse. |
Sorry, but if they have the front door to the address, access to your home and control the am, it sounds like they are the tenants and you are living with them. I am not sure there is anything you can do without raising the fact you are renting illegally.
Get a po box for your packages. Maybe buy a portable ac unit. And hope they move soon. |

True. Just did this. |
I'm trying to imagine this living situation. Are you just sharing a house? Are there separate entrances? How are you entering your home vs them entering theirs? |
Sounds like it's essentially a group house with shared living spaces, but the landlord picks the roommates. This allows the landlord to keep the rents high for individual rooms/parts of the house. It's a really shady setup and definitely illegal. |
Look into Amazon Locker. |
