When Starbucks screws up my order...

The fact is, the Op let this not a problem get her down AND couldn't figure out how to solve it. That's a perspective problem, truly.

That wooshing sound you hear? It's the sound of the point going over your head. Moron.

No. Your point did not go over my head. Your examples to the Syria poster are people who have actual REAL problems. So yeah it would be stupid for the Syria poster to go over there and post that comment, and I seriously doubt he/she would have commented on people with real problems

But the OP? She does not have a problem, not in any sense of the word, unless you count her inability to problem-solve. Which I guess counts as a problem.

Speak to the manager of the store. Let them know your order is incorrect 1/2 (or whatever) of the time and you order online. Starbucks is very responsive. If you complain online they will respond.

I know it's only 8:00 am, but this post already has a great chance of being the stupidest thing I read on the internet all day.

I'm sorry, but you can't complain. The bar for bitching has now been set at 6 family members. Unless you've lost 7 or more just STFU.

Best post, and I know it isn't even 11 am yet, but i'm pretty confident

OP, I'm with you. I love the mobile ordering option, but find that it's more error-prone because these orders aren't called out by a cashier and marked on the cup in the same fashion as the in-store orders are and instead the baristas are required to read small print on the sticker, which throws them off. I think PP above has the right advice - raise your feedback to the store manager and/or corporate.

I don't know what the hell that is, but I know for sure that it isn't "coffee!"

Your post underscores why I never wear white! If my period didn't trash those pants, activities of daily living would.

No, you are the one that has a complete lack of perspective. Just because there are larger global problems does not mean you stop caring about smaller issues. It means that you care about multiple issues but you put the appropriate amount of concern into each.

OP can care about her coffee order as long as she realizes that this is smaller and less important than dealing with ill family members. And coping with ill family members is less important than losing family members. And losing family members is less important than natural disasters that killed multiple people, which are less important than...

If your point were valid then your friend should not be bitching about her family members because she should be worried about the large scale flooding that caused 13 deaths in Louisiana and further devastated the not fully recovered area. Thousands are homeless with nothing on their backs and complete loss of family fortunes.

For crying out loud people. No one said you couldn't complain about your problems. What people are saying is that if he does not have a problem. At least not the kind that should trigger the emotional reaction she is having. Do you really not see the difference?

If she is investing this much energy emotionally into a wrong coffee order, and is unable to fix the problem, I think some of us are suggesting that she has bigger issues that she needs to deal with.

+1

Seriously OP I am baffled as to how you couldn't pour out some coffee without spilling it everywhere. I do this literally almost every time I go to starbucks and have never spilled on myself. Maybe you should practice pouring out liquids into your trash can at home so you can be better prepared to deal with this tricky conundrum the next time you are wearing white pants

Sounds like you need to locate a drive-thru - McDonalds has them all over the city, and good coffee too.

Is there another Starbucks on your way to work that you could go to instead?

Oh geez. This is me. (Not OP).

Seriously OP? How do you even get out of your house in the morning.

Side note, your coffee order sounds disgusting. I'm ashamed for you.
