What do you think of Cory booker?

8 years is an eternity in American politics. Hope he speaks at the convention.

Very smooth talker, but responsible for the Newark school debacle.

And I frankly struggle to remember anything significant he's accomplished, in Newark or the Senate or elsewhere. Any pointers?

A Governor makes much more sense.

My memory is of Newark getting 100 million for schools and the whole thibg crashing. I dont know if that speaks to bookers ineptitude or the facts that solutions for schools aren't unilateral (more money! Fire teachers! More testig!)but it is disappointing they couldn't do more with such an infusion. From what I've heard he has come off all surface (an appealing Ione) no depth

The Prize is great book that highlights his true character.

Huh? He was on the Newark City Council for 4 years and mayor for 7. How is that abandoning Newark "the first chance" he got? Now he serves his state as senator in Congress. PP you're grasping.

+1. Booker would make little sense -- either he's created this rumor to promote himself or the Clintons want to appease black voters before getting a white VP.

You mean the way Trump has spewed venom to appease certain white voters?

Not gonna happen. Country isn't ready for a closeted politician in the white house.

I don't like Christie at all but this is hilarious!

He used Newark as his necessary stepping stone because he wants to become a career politician, putting his time in because of his higher aspirations with ambivalence and disdain about true educational reform and economic turnaround in the city he represented.

I hope he is held accountable for the school debacle and people educate themselves about his actions and not just the speeches he is making today. He's no different than any other shady career politician but I would actually consider not voting for Hilliary on principle alone if she choses him as her running mate.

Its going to be Kaine

Hillary can't have someone that will outshine her (Warner, Booker, Hispanic Dude)

The only reason she floated those was pandering to get the base excited

The only thing that would prevent this is that he is a Senator from a state with a Republican governor. If he leaves the Senate to be her VP, he will leave a vacancy that will be replaced by a Republican and tilt the scales of power in Congress.

Exactly. Since this describes Warren, Brown and Booker, that's one of the big reasons we will get Kaine.
