She is believed to be the one who helped intervene the younger girls from Josh's molestation and abuse of his younger siblings. I think she has a fierce sort of "mama bear" protectiveness over the other girls, and would rather stay around and present than let one of the boys do something to the other girls.

Had high hopes when I heard he was a soccer player. Then I realize soccer career ended 2-3 yrs ago, he's also fundie, and has some "ministry" down in Texas and has praised Jinger for being meek. So here we go again with another loser son in law.

I do wonder about that. At her age, she missed the boat on young marriage, she isn't actively courting, and isn't pursuing education or a job. Seems like kind of a worthless sort of life.

She spent her whole life cleaning, cooking, and taking care of younger siblings. Now that the youngest of them is almost self sufficient, no way does she want to begin the cycle all over again with her own family. Plus the pickin's are slim if she can only date from other quiverfull loser types.
