Marble or glass subway tile in bath/shower

Possibly if you have children banging on the wall with heavy objects. Otherwise no.

Actually, let me elaborate on my answer. Many pieces will have chips on the corners. I filed some of them with a nail file, but I'm particular. These chips get filled in with the grout. Mine are unnoticeable and I have a lot of marble tiles in the kitchen & laundry.

I can't comment on the tile. I can only comment on how large that bathroom is.

Are you suggesting that the above bathroom is ugly or not ugly?

Just read the garden web threads on houzz people. Stealing doesn't mean it is bullet proof and you then need to use special cleaning products and soap, including handsoap. I have a sealed backsplash and still had to work to get a stain off that I saw immediately.

For those with marble bathroom floors, do you find them slippery?

I have all marble in my kitchen and laundry. All countertops and backsplash. I spill red wine, tomato sauce, and coffee on a regular basis. I often find coffe or pasta sauce that has been there for a couple days. It wipes right up. I would be surprised if I left something on it for weeks and it stained. It etches, especially from all the tomatoes I use, but it doesn't stain. Again, a very high quality sealer is important, not that crap at Home Depot. Mine actually comes with a 10 year guarantee. I could not be happier with my choice!
