Athletic/sport sandals for long walks that aren't ugly

I have a pair of Keens I wear for actual sports -- e.g., sailing. But for just walking around, I really like Vionic flip flops. Very comfy, and not ugly.

+1 Merrell

I've been wearing a version of these for years:

Not super-attractive, but not too ugly and the most comfortable I've found.

Unless you are literally hiking on a mountain trail in the woods or white water rafting or paddle boarding, you should not as a grown women be wearing bright blue Keens. If you are engaging in those activities, it is excusable. Walking to the farmers market? NO.

These Tevas are about as inoffensive as this kind of sandal gets. I actually might order some:

If you are ACTUALLY hiking, you should wear hiking boots. Not sandals. Or do you mean "taking a walk in the woods"?

Perhaps the confusion here is that the OP asked for suggestions for shoes to wear on a walk. Not in the woods, not up a mountain, not on a raft, not in the Amazon Rainforest.

I have these and wore them all day last Saturday in an amusement park and feet felt great. I would definitely buy again.

I have these as well but cannot wear them for extensive walking (miles). They have a flap of material on the inside of the strap that tends to rub a blister. They are great run around shoes and water/beach shoes.

Tried on a pair of Mephisto and they are really comfortable. Having bought pair yet though.

These look just as bad as the Keens, in my opinion. FTR, I know my Keens aren't the prettiest, but they are amazing. So comfortable and what I really love is that my toes are covered. I can slip them on to help DC learn to ride a bike or go somewhere crowded in the summer and know my feet won't get stomped on.

Well, I am "a grown women" and sometimes walk 6 miles at a time on an outing. So, while I'm not hiking in the woods (I have hiking boots for that), I do need very comfortable and supportive shoes. Sometimes that means compromising on the look of the shoe a bit.
