I didn't love the beige ones, but these?? These are hideous. I mean, I see them on the playground at preschool. But for a grown woman?

So right.

Yeah, you can't throw shade on the beige boring sandals only to suggest these frankensandals.

It's official. There are no walking sandals that aren't hideous. Hahahaha

I have these- very comfortable, completely adjustable and not bad looking. I only use them for touristy walking events...

As someone onc said:
DCUM, the people wearing these are the ones giving you advice.

The problem with most walking sandals is the strap over the top of your feet- cuts off your legs making them look stumpy. Look for something without a horizontal strap across the ankle.

Mother of gawd every shoe posted so far is hideous.

If you are really looking for a "sport" sandal, you're going to have to accept the fact that they are not going to be elegant. But I am assuming you want a sport sandal to engage in sports, like hiking, and no one on the trails is going to be judging your Keens, etc.

If you're looking for a comfortable shoe for sightseeing, then you probably want to drop the "sport" description. For supportive shoes for sightseeing, I like Cobb Hill (I have the "Ireland" sandal") and Vionic (but break them in at home first!).

Yes. No sport sandal will be pretty. Embrace the ugly! I have some godawful ugly Keens, but I do fun stuff when I wear them, so I'm OK with it. The rest of the time I really enjoy pretty shoes.

OMG. What is wrong with your feet that you have to wear these ugly shoes for walks?

OK, yes - hiking, very long walks, etc, go with Keens or whatever and don't think twice about it.

But Ijust walked the dog 1.5 miles wearing very normal sandals. Not old lady shoes. I could easily have gone longer. And i have very wide feet - but seriously tough it out. Find some decent sandals and just get used to them!

What color are your workout shoes? These look to me like a summer version of a running shoe. I might notice if you were wearing them to work, but wouldn't think twice about them on a hiking trail.

My workout shoes are brightly colored, but they're for working out. It sounded like the OP was looking for something to go for a walk in. So I'm picturing wearing these "sandals" with regular clothes, not workout clothes.

This is what I would think of when I think of a comfortable sandal for wearing to walk:

I wear flip flops for summer walks (plain sneakers or keen sneakers in winter) - I find them more comfortable then most sandals. I have very high arches and don't like anything over the top of my foot.

Okabashi are the best I've found.

These have never given me blisters - some sandals are comfy at first but kill after a mile or two. My Teva sandals were great at first but continue to cut into part of my foot so I only wear those for short distances.

So maybe not the best option if you don't want casual but they are comfortable and supportive.
