Or you could find a place to work where people treat each other like humans. You are still young -- it's not worth settling for a soul crushing job. sorry you have to deal with this bitch.

How do you confront this?

"How dare you not be more pleasant when I take your stuff off your desk without your knowledge or permission and don't give it back?!"

I think everyone already covered it but your co-worker is not a bitch based on these two incidents.

Re:scissor-gate, She probably feels violated that you went into her cubicle/desk area. It isn't just about the scissors it's about going into someone's space.

Re: delete-gate, why should she have to spend time deleting information you left on a communal form that should remain blank? It was a small mistake on your part that you can easily fix. I don't see how it was inappropriate for her to ask you to fix your mistake.

I don't think so. It's about taking something and then not returning it. Had the co-worker not started looking for her scissors, the OPO probably would have just kept them.

If you take my red Swingline stapler, I'm burning the place down. You've been warned...

Seriously, though, if you're in an environment where office supplies are already in short supply, you need to be more conscientious about returning people's stuff, especially when you borrow it without permission. You can't be mad at her for not being gracious when you are the one who effed up.

Also, if you think one coworker's dislike of you is a major workplace issue, you're in for a rude awakening. This is small stuff compared to what a lot of us have to put up with to put food on the table.

OP, you are so like me. The girl is a bitch.

However, please listen up. Backstabbers will use anything against you. They will go whine to HR that you committed theft, that you are hostile, harassing, etc. So, in the future, try to keep a safe distance away from coworkers belongings, and never confide anything in them thats not ok for the boss to hear. Or HR.

So you're also the type to rifle through other people's desks after hours, not return things that you borrow, f up communal documents instead of just making/ saving a copy for your use, and then point the blame at other people for your laziness and disregard for a community workplace? Got it.
