I find this view baffling. If you hate him so much, why not write in Kasich or Romney or whoever? Why vote for someone you hate and whom you feel is destroying the party?

It's really not that baffling. It's an anti-Clinton vote more than a pro-Trump vote. A vote for Romney or Kasich in the general election is truly a vote for Hillary. I would vote for Obama before I vote for Hillary Clinton (most of his problems have been those of naive idealism - she's just a lying liar). However, if the only two candidates possible were Clinton or Sanders, I'd vote Clinton. However, I think that most Sanders enthusiasts and Trump enthusiasts are closer than the rest of us. There could be a much bigger crossover of Bernie fans heading out to vote Trump for the same reason I will do so, even though we couldn't be farther apart politically.

So you won't vote for Hillary because you believe she's a liar. But you're willing to believe Donald Trump is not a liar, despite a great deal of evidence that he is.

Trump is an "every man's liar." He lies in the same way your neighbor does about his retirement fund or your husband does about what he can bench. The lies are so earnest and transparent that you can't help but know he truly couldn't be that crazy. Honestly, like I said, I'm not a true supporter though so I do understand what you're saying. My problem is that Hillary has been part of the layered web of lies for so long that she doesn't even realize she's the source of the problem, not the answer. Throughout most of her tenure as Sec of State, I tried to change my mind about her. Then Benghazi happened. It wasn't even a joke. Her lies were base and real and horrid.

Wow. That's quite a rationalization.

Versus the rationalization you've apparently made? That Clinton's lies don't affect our Nation at it's core?

Anyone who capitalizes "Nation" is out there. But, anyway, you have no idea what I think. You're simply saying one liar is acceptable to you and the other one is not. The one you find acceptable is demonstrably bigoted, but that, too, is obviously acceptable to you. And that's fine. Just own it.

Isn't that I'm doing? See, that's the thing. You won't admit ownership of accepting Clinton's lies but you expect anyone who votes against her to "own" their rationalizations. The fact you lashed out at my capitalization tells me how you truly feel about being a part of this culture. You expect all of the freedoms but, honestly, between you and me, you've never really had to sacrifice anything to get to where you are. Let's face it, nobody knows for sure how either of these individuals will govern. I simply choose to vote in a way that pisses you off. That's my right.

I am not a Republican, and will not be voting for one anytime soon. But I genuinely think Trump would be less of a disaster for the country than Cruz would be - so if I were a Republican, I would probably vote for him given a choice between the two.

I voted for Trump in Fairfax county, where he got 25%. I guess roughly 10% of DCUM users are real Trump supporters. You are not alone.

I don't care how you vote. Your capitalization is pretentious or suggests that you work for the government; that's about all it indicates. You have no idea of my background. I'm sure Donald Trump has sacrificed a great deal for Our Nation.

If you're willing to own that you're OK with bigotry, good for you. I do wonder if you admit it publicly. Will you put a Trump sign on your lawn? A sticker on your car?

I don't put shit in my lawn or on my car. You don't know me just like you claim I don't know you. You can vote for a truly evil liar and I'll vote for the brash and crazy newcomer. The deal is that I could be your neighbor, your child's teacher, your accountant, or your SIL. It bothers you that you don't know. My capitalization of Nation is the same as those who wear flag lapel pins. Yes, we love our country but you don't know the source of the love.

I just can't understand why Clinton supporters think they have to have a temper tantrum to get others to support her. I started this conversation by saying I wasn't a Trump supporter. That means there will be no sticker. I'm voting for him because it appears as though I might have to.
On the other hand, I despise the Clintons. If you give me an "I HATE HILLARY AND BILL" sticker for my car, I will proudly display it. Oh! And the sign for my Yard (capitalized - because I love my Yard). Don't forget to send the sign. I need to show everybody how I feel.

And this, my friends, is how Liberals (yes, big "L" Liberal) fight when they can no longer hold their own.

What I don't understand is, even if you agree with Trump on social issues, wouldn't you be scared shitless by what he would do as president? Can people be that naive to think that refusing to allow muslims to enter the US and keeping a registry of ones here is something that isn't going to start WWIII? Can his supporters really think that his ignorance and lack of critical thinking about foreign policy or economics or military history won't be incredibly dangerous? I mean, even if you are scared of muslims or whatever it is that motivates his supporters, can't you see that his ideas will make things worse?

I haven’t been.
But after today’s hearing with the ICE Director regarding the illegal immigrants who have committed violent crimes and released back into OUR country, I am quickly becoming a supporter.

So -- there's one.]

I think there are probably one or two wackadoodles, and a couple of paid Trump posters. The tone and content are pretty much the same and all pretty much devoid of any intellectual content. So that's my guess.

Keep telling yourself that.
You did hear that he won ALL counties in ALL states in this past Tuesday’s primaries?
So, my guess there are a few more than a “couple wackadoodles."

and I;m assuming the voters in Delaware and Connecticut can't be described by DCUM posters as ignorant, uneducated, southern racists.

Sorry, sport, but you are so entrenched in your elitist beliefs that you cannot believe that someone who is not like you cannot be president. I am not scared of Muslims as much as I am scared of people like you.

I don't get this -- Obama as a Greek column? I don't even understand the insult.

I think crazy PP is referring to the stage at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

But how can putting Muslims on a registry and conditioning entry to this country on religion possibly square with the constitution, let alone morality? We did this in WWII with Japanese citizens. Just about everyone agreed it was a terrible idea although the Supreme Court upheld it at the time. It's very unlikely they would uphold it now.

I am not a person who has ever attended a protest or vigil or anything like that -- the most I do politically is vote. But if this became reality, you can bet I'd be out there on the front lines. My Jewish ancestors endured this shit in Europe. It's disgusting to me that it could be suggested here by a serious political candidate. This alone would prevent me from ever supporting Trump (or Cruz, who refused to disavow this notion when Trump floated it).
