I call my uncle's wife my aunt. Stop being such a stickler. OP: you can marry this person. |
Me too. |
It's fine. |
Depends on the circumstances.
You go to a family event and meet a nice woman relatively close to your age who turns out to be your Uncle's wife's sister - not weird. Your Uncle marries a woman and you meet her 4 year old sister, watch said sister grow up and then start dating her when she reaches 18 - weird. |
i know a situation where a widow with 5 young children married a man. Her daughter later married the man's much younger brother. 20 years later, everyone is fine. it always seemed odd to me, but it worked for them. |
Yep. Similar in our family. Dad has a cousin who's also a nephew but no one married anyone related by blood and in each marriage the spouses are about the same age because the siblings were spread out 15 years. OP, it will catch some people off guard when they hear it the first time but mostly they'll be looking to you for quick confirmation that all's ok and will follow your lead from there. |
Yeah. Me too. Because some of my aunts and uncles were married before I was born and have been in the family longer than I've been alive. What else would you call her? Your uncle's wife?? Sound rude. |
OP please come back to clarify! What is the age difference? |
