Gender select? M v.F?????

Are you sure you want to pick? If I were in your shoes, I think I would ask them to just pick the best looking embryo first. And then the second best the next time. Etc. or if you're transferring two, put in one of each and then nature decides which you get (or both).

My 3 boys are the best thing that could have happened to me. I'm a bit competitive by nature (not my best quality) and it turns out that I love being the only woman in the house. My boys adore me and they are (shockingly to me!) well behaved, polite, adorable, and I have no doubt they will take care of me when I'm old.

I was 1 of 3 girls growing up and my mom is beside herself that I never had a daughter - I just smile and nod now, all the while telling myself that I'm the lucky one to have these 3 boys.

Exactly the same here. Thought I wanted a girl, have boys and couldn't be happier.

I always feel like when someone does something like this, they're setting themselves up. After all, you're choosing based on stereotypes, right?

Pick a boy? He'll be super girly, hate sports, etc.

Pick a girl? She'll be dirty and butch, and hate you.

Maybe OP was asking in the hopes that if you had experience with a singleton you would be able to provide some insight?

I would put one of each back.

Then the question should be in parenting.

I have sat here trying to figure out what OP gains in asking this question.

We are all strangers - our gender preferences or opinions mean nothing to the OP. Our answers are totally irrelevant.

All OP gets out of this is provocation and amusement - which is pretty much the definition of trolling.

There is no way that anyone who has been dealing with infertility to the point where they are having a FET from donor eggs is unaware of the incendiary nature of this question.

So this is an exercise in making other's dance on a string for one's own amusement.

Which is a shame because this board is generally a bit less subject to that kind of thing than the rest of DCUM.

They only let you put one back at a time and the first one didn't stick. We didn't choose but I thought this time may be worth a pick, that's why I ask.

Are you really going to choose the sex of your baby based on crowd sourcing on DCUM????

The height of absurdity. Pick a boy and come back to let us pick his name. This is my baby too, damnit.

We have struggled many years and have dealt with loss after loss and disappointing BFNs.
Like I said, we hit the jackpot with healthy donor embryos. Do you honestly think that using a donor was my first choice? No, but we adapted.
Do you honestly think that we don't want a healthy baby?

We have every intention of donating our unused healthy blasts for adoption.
Please only answer if you have something of value to add, otherwise kindly find another infertile woman to cyber bully...you guys are really great at it.

Donating embryos created with donor sperm and/or donor egg can be problematic, just fyi.
