| Please be specific where you are finding discount UA shirts. DS has discovered it this year and that's all he wants. I got $20 hoodies on Amazon last winter but summer is coming and the t-shirts are next. |
| I buy half the clothes through online thrift/consignment stores and the rest through major sales at The Childrens Place and others. I spend the most on sneakers because they both wear orthotics and run around a lot. |
Or maybe frugal? K and 1st graders don't need name brands and they outgrow clothes within months. I save all clothes for hand me downs too. |
I find UA clothing for my son at Marshalls and TJ Maxx. Tshirts are around $13-16 each; athletic pants are $20-25; I think shorts are around $15. I sometimes find similar prices at Dick's on sale/clearance and, if lucky, combine it with a coupon. |

Not too much this year. About $100 so far with still needing to get new sneakers, sandals and 2 more pairs of shorts for camp.
However, that's because last year I bought her dresses a size larger so they were a bit long last year and will be the right length this year and I did the same with her shirts. (Her bathing suits got replaced toward the end of last season as well since she grew so those still fit as do her socks and underpants.) So this year I just needed shorts, capris, sneakers and sandals plus a new Easter dress. I expect to spend less than $100 to get the rest since I'll get her sneakers at the outlets for maybe $20. The biggest expense will be the sandals since I buy her a pair of Keens for the summer. Next year will be more since it will be a buy everything year except maybe socks and undies. |
