9 - Harry Potter series, those rainbow fairy books, Genius Files, Captain Underpants, she recently "rediscovered" EB White i.e Charlotte's Web, Stuart Little etc.
She found the Genius Files and the Percy Jackson books to be a little dark. |

My son just turned 9. Still in 3rd. He's reading Two Miserable Presidents by Steve Sheinkin.
He hates reading generally, but he really likes this book. |

| My 8-yr-old DS loves the A-Z Mysteries by Rob Roy. He plays soccer and also loved reading the Soccer Cats series by Matt Christopher. And he also is a fan of all of those "unofficial" minecraft books, like Diary of a Minecraft Zombie and the ones by Morgan Winter. |
