Still no mail delivery?

We got mail on Tuesday and Thursday this week. It looks like they are on an every other days schedule here.

I'm in South Old Town and got one package on Wednesday and nothing since, I have four packages that said 'out for delivery' this morning when I checked tracking, and that changed to 'available for pickup' at lunchtime. Our building's front steps and stairs have been shoveled and ice free since Monday. Super annoying because these packages are last minute stuff we need for a big international trip we're takin next week and I don't really have the time to go track them down, which is why I ordered things online in the first place.

I'm the del ray poster above. No mail all week. My walk and stoop nave been clear since Monday, street since Tuesday. It is ridiculous.

I am in a different part of Alexandria and got mail every day since Wednesday.

So we got mail yesterday in Burke, but our postman isn't delivering packages for inexplicable reasons. I've gotten two failed delivery attempt notices from the post office, despite getting mail with no problems. These are just routine packages, no signature required. Strange.

We live on a busy street in MoCo which was plowed throughout the storm and has been clear since Sunday morning. We got mail delivery precisely once this week, on Wednesday.

There is no reason why they could not deliver mail to our home or anyone else on our street. The mailman would have to walk a bit more (he usually stops in front of every 2 houses; he'd probably have to pull over on a sidestreet now and walk between 4 or 5) but there is no functional reason why we should not be receiving daily mail service. We have received deliveries on time via UPS. Maybe it's time to privatize?

I'm in Crofton. Still no mail.

My postman has shown up every day since Tuesday. Street was plowed Monday night. Downtown Bethesda.

This is very strange.

We are also in Alexandria and still not receiving regular mail. A neighbor talked to one of the carriers and apparently the new Postmaster has banned any overtime pay so they are only working their designated shift times and have no incentive or compensation to work until the entire route is complete. With the backlog from the storm they are rotating through different neighborhoods so can each can get some mail, but not on a regular basis yet.
