Still no mail delivery?

I cannot do that. It's not physically possible to move the amount of snow that VDOT put on our mailbox bank. The most we could do was a tunnel, but the mailman won't use it.

You must've pissed your mail lady off and she was just waiting for an opportunity to get you back

I was actually just waiting for packages at my Arlington PO and one of the managers stated (to an irate customer not getting any mail) that carriers were not supposed to be out delivering past 3:30. Each day they're supposed to start off by completing the previous day's route, but he conceded that some carriers are doing what they want (probably just the easiest locations).

Our mailbox is next to the front door. Our sidewalk, driveway, and front steps have been clear since Sunday. We got mail one day this week, and then today. Our amazon acct showed that one package was not delivered (until today) because 'mail receptacle could not be reached'. BS. Mail carriers were either totally overwhelmed by snow piles, or using this week as opportunity to be slow and lazy.

Score one for DC. All the bills showed up on time!

My packages were marked undeliverable on Wednesday, even after the box had been cleared at our apartment...I get that they are behind, but now I have to go wait at the post office on Saturday for my stuff!

You all expect he carrier to drive around the neighborhood scoping out mailboxes in houses that have clear access? They deliver to every single house every single day 6 days a week. USPS has to be way behind and understandably so with all the snow they have to work around. I would agree that packages have to get delivered but regular mail? Mail delivery is a service you rarely pay for yet you want it everyday.

Mail is federal, not local.

What do you mean rarely pay for? All the mail I send and receive has been paid for.

I am in DC - had parking spots cleared in front of my house for mail truck to park. Shoveled sidewalk.

Did not get mail this week.

Interesting that children have been able to get to school since Wed - but mail carriers can not get out and deliver through the same streets and sidewalks that are good enough for our kids.

I'm in South Old Town and got one package on Wednesday and nothing since, I have four packages that said 'out for delivery' this morning when I checked tracking, and that changed to 'available for pickup' at lunchtime. Our building's front steps and stairs have been shoveled and ice free since Monday. Super annoying because these packages are last minute stuff we need for a big international trip we're takin next week and I don't really have the time to go track them down, which is why I ordered things online in the first place.

I'm in the burbs but our mailbox is a one of the multi-box things on the island in the middle of our townhouse court. I didn't check yesterday but we did have mail today.

Mail delivery has been odd in our NOVA neighborhood. No mail from Saturday through Wednesday, despite our streets and mailboxes being totally accessible since Tuesday. Delivery on Thursday - I saw our regular mailman delivering mail and driving around the neighborhood, and we received a pile of mail. Then no mail today. Not sure what's going on.

We got two random pieces of mail yesterday and nothing the rest of the week. Our street was plowed Monday and our walkway has been cleared since then. No idea what is going on, but I really hope we start getting mail soon. Sorting thru a giant pile of 10 days worth of mail won't be fun.
