shorts (not yoga pants) at gym?

Ha! I just started at a gym and looked around to notice that every single person in my class as wearing capri tights and sports bras or tops. Get this -- I was wearing both capris AND longish, loose sports shorts (over top the capris) and a loose shirt. I used to think the tight capris and sports bras were so immodest....but clearly I am way behind the times!

My gym is too hot to wear long pants of any type for running. I wear shorts and a tank. Maybe if you're just walking or running a couple of minutes, but I'm running at least 5 or 6 miles on the treadmill and I'd die doing that in long pants.

Doesn't your gym have walls and doors? My gym is really warm inside right now.

Not to and from the car. And not in a cold car. Sure you can put sweats over and take off there or vice versa but I much prefer to keep my legs warm while exercising.

You aren't alone. I can't stand the feeling of all that fabric on me when I am moving.

If you need pants to keep your legs warm while exercising, you're not working hard enough! For cardio, your heart rate should be up enough that you're sweating.
