nope
I was almost raped at 17 in a hotel when I ordered room service. My parents were taking a trip that didn't interest me. Thankfully, he was a small guy. So I could fight him off. 17 . . . not 13 . . . |
| Absolutely not, not if there was no adult available all day long. If it was 8 hours or less, and the 13 year old had things to do (homework, a movie, some crafting, some exercising and something else sounds about right), it would be fine if it was just one day. But 2+ days and/or 1 long day of 8+ hours, and it would be an absolutely not, at least for me. |
| I would take the child. Kids love spending "hotel time" with their parents. Ask the child if they want to come. That would solve it one way or another. |
| In hotels, illicit adult behavior/activities sometimes take place. What if someone answering a Craigslist ad knocks on the wrong door, in anticipation of a role play scenario? Or what if some adult follows her back to your hotel room? For me, hotels are not for unsupervised young people. |
