Sea World Orca Dies

Sea World does a LOT of questionable things when it comes to their sea mammals. BlackFish isn't all propoganda. Far from it. Several trainers have put out books as well detailing their time with SW. Give them a read. We haven't been to Sea World in a very long time, 10+ years), and will not go back. We prefer to see animals in their "natural" element in general.

The orca's currently in Sea World would benefit greatly from the ocean pens, however as their teeth are constantly drilled that would have to continue to keep them alive. Ridiculous. Does Sea World do good? Yes, they definitely save and rehabilitate animals, but their Orca's and Dolphin's are purely a commodity. It doesn't matter if the animal is born into captivity, it still deserves to "live". Their tanks are far too small and un-stimulating to let them "live" in any sense. Not to mention orca's are VERY social creatures. Keeping them isolated is like putting a human in solitary confinement. Thinking that won't chance a creature...

The National Aquarium stopped doing the dolphin show, I think because they felt bad for the dolphins. I'm not weighing in either way on the Sea World thing, because I'm not super educated on it, but I just wanted to share that information.
