Star Wars-What order did you show your kids?

Anyway, my star wars cannon (in chronological order) is Knights of the Old Republic, Clone Wars series, The Force Unleashed , Original Trilogy, and Heir to the Empire Series.

I thought all the EU stuff was declared non-canon after Disney bought Star Wars.

We took my kids to see the Clone Wars cartoon at the theater, when it was out.

They watched Clone Wars, then the 1,2,3 (Phantom Menace trilogy) and then 4,5,6 (A New Hope trilogy). Then they watched the Star Wars: Clone Wars TV series.

We haven't been watching Star Wars: Rebels, but will probably start since they brought Ashoka Tano back.

It's definitely different to see them in that order. My 5 year old assured me with great confidence that Darth Vader would never kill Luke, because he is really Anakin and Anakin wouldn't do that. He maintained that Anakin was just mad and that he would always do the right thing by the end.

Disney says that the 6 movies and the Clone Wars TV series are canon. I presume that the Rebels TV series is also canon because Disney produced it. The next movie will also be canon.

Everything else in the EU and video games is not canon.

I'm glad they kept Clone Wars in the canon. That show was good and it did as much as it could to redeem the Anakin/Padme relationship and make it sympathetic.

Also, see previous thread about how questions posted on DCUM seem to be getting dumber and dumber. You are worrying about what order you are seeking input on what order to show the Star Wars movies to your newborn???

I heart you! Yes, that is the order we saw them in. My kids may skip 1, 2, and 3.
