What is your monthly cell phone bill?

Is there ever a reason I should give this up? My monthly bill may be a bit lower - I currently pay about $95/month (unlimited text, no idea about minutes because I have about a million rollover minutes). But the comfort of unlimited data is nice, even though I may use/pay less. And once I give it up, it's gone forever.

Me too - -what stinks is that only my phone is unlimited. DH's phone, the kids phones and all the other devices (criminally we have a lot) are excluded fro that grandfathering. We pay over $200 a month. I really want to figure it out, especially since we need two new phones ASAP. It is too expensive.

*criminy, not criminally lol!! I swear we bought them all from Apple on line!

If you decide to give it up, you can sell these plans on eBay for $500. Don't give it up for free!

Verizon "medium" plan. 3GB/month shared between two iphones (off contract, paid for) with unlimited talk and text. $85/month total.

Cricket $90 for 3 phones each month---all Motorola smart phones that we bought upfront a few months ago ($600 for all 3). Unlimited talk and text. 10 GB data for each line . Mostly we are on Wifi when using data. I travel a half hour to work and use the data for music (Google Play) and it's plenty of data for that. We never go over.

Larger plans are also available: http://www.selectelwireless.com/wireless-plans/

I am on a similar carrier, Puppy Wireless, https://mypuppywireless.com/ You can bring over your old phone from Verizon and get the same service. I went from $110/month on Verizon to $30/month and I'm over paying because I didn't want the inconvenience of figuring out how to add more $ on the fly.

T-Mobile. Three iPhone 5s on the plan. Currently $120 per month but will go down to $96 per month when we pay off the one phone (zero interest which is why we haven't paid it off). That being said T-Mobile has horrible coverage. Awful. But it's worth the savings over Sprint-we were paying $170 per month for the same service with Sprint.

Call AT&T up, you can probably negotiate something much lower. They tend to change plans all the time and not tell the consumer.

$10/month.

I have an (older) iPhone given to me by my parents when I upgraded. I use Airvoice Wireless (which is on AT&T's network) and buy $10 worth of time every month. It's enough for a call or two each day, a handful of texts each day, and a little bit of web browsing or navigation. Mostly I use WiFi which doesn't cost anything.

This is PP, meant to say when THEY upgraded my parents gave me their old iPhone.

Not, PP but wow, this is news to me, I had no idea. I am keeping my grandfathered plan but that is good to know.

Timely post because I called Verizon this past week for a review of my cell phone bill. 2 data phones and 1 flip phone without data. Old plan: $175 per month. New plan: $137 plus tax. Basically, $40 cheaper per month. Unlimited text and calls with 2.5 gigs of data. The data usage is low, but I insist they use wifi whenever possible. Now, I need to convince my DH to drop the landline. Make the call to your carrier- they are not going to call you!

85 for att with 1 unlimited grandfathered data plan, and one dumb phone. 500ish minutes per month and 15% fed discount.

thinking of switching to google fi, or ting, or one of the other low cost carriers.
