What is your monthly cell phone bill?

Verizon - One person plan. Motorola Android (don't know what edition but it was $100) - unlimited minutes/text, 2 GB data. $70 including taxes.

AT&T
- 1 iPhone 6+ (Own, not leased on the next plan)
- 900 Talk Minutes w/ Unlimited Rollover (7000+minutes in bank)
- Unlimited data for iPhone on 4G LTE (grandfathered)
- Unlimited text (grandfathered plan)
- Unlimited mobile to mobile calling
- A-List: Unlimited calling to 10 phone numbers of my choosing
- Low international data, text, and call rates
- Good phone coverage

$118 a month after tax

Sometimes I want a $10 flip phone, but in general I'm happy.

Is there ever a reason I should give this up? My monthly bill may be a bit lower - I currently pay about $95/month (unlimited text, no idea about minutes because I have about a million rollover minutes). But the comfort of unlimited data is nice, even though I may use/pay less. And once I give it up, it's gone forever.

PP here. Don't give up unlimited data. EVER. Data usage will always keep growing over time. There is a reason they are charging more for data than the phone minutes now.

Republic Wireless: 2 Moto X's, we usually pay around $30 a month total using around .5 GB of data per phone. It is usually less becuase Republic pays you back for the data you don't use. Doesn't work if you need tons of data, but its been perfect for checking email, occasional GPS use, and Google searches and browsing. Unlimited minutes and text.

Me again.

Look at it like this: you (and I) are paying about $30 extra a month for UNLIMITED data on all domestic data networks- 2GB, 20GB, 200TB. It's unlimited.

The most expensive data plan on most carriers offers costs about that much and it is limited sometimes to only their network or 50GB and usually costs about the same if not more.

Don't give it up.

$10/mo. Tracfone. I rarely use the talk minutes. I tend to text more than anything. I run on wifi unless I'm out of the house and need to use internet... then I switch it on and turn it off when I'm done.

DH has a work phone that is free to him. Kids do not have phones and don't really want them yet.

It was changed recently from my old plan which was $35 for unlimited data/text and 300 minutes talk.

I started out with Virgin Mobile for $35/month 350 minutes talk, but after 1 year they gave me unlimited minutes for being a "valued customer" for the same price! Love virgin mobile.

I also have RW, same features as above, and pay $13/ month including taxes for one person.

I think I lose this contest. $422/mo on ATT. We have a family share plan, 15 GB, unlimited text. Six iPhones with data plans.

T-mobile

2 IPhone 5S phones
unlimited data (but tethering and roaming are limited)
I have no idea how much talk and text, we never come close.
We use a fair amount of data when we travel by car and let our children stream.

$150/month. On our 2 year anniversay in a few months, our bill will drop to $100/month. We paid $25/phone for 24 months so $600/phone but no fee for the phone when we initiated service.

That said, I am looking at changing carriers, we did a lot of driving in rural areas over the summer and our coverage was terrible. T-Mo roams on AT&T's network so I am thinking it is probably not better.

Me too - -what stinks is that only my phone is unlimited. DH's phone, the kids phones and all the other devices (criminally we have a lot) are excluded fro that grandfathering. We pay over $200 a month. I really want to figure it out, especially since we need two new phones ASAP. It is too expensive.
