Actually, the Egg McMuffin is one of the healthiest on the menu. If you want to slim it down ask them to make it without the cheese. There is even an all-egg white "secret menu" version that my yolk-hating kid loves.

750 mg of salt in one mcmuffin, yikes

Out of 2700 mg a day, that isn't much.

I am on a lower sodium diet (1500 mg a day) and I can still have the occasional Egg McMuffin.

Most people don't go to McDonalds to meet nutritional goals. They go because it is fast food that tastes good.

Yes I know, thats why America is such a fat country.

Both your posts have comma issues. Maybe if you weren't starving you could remember basic grammar?

According to Mayo-clinic: "The Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend limiting sodium to less than 2,300 mg a day — or 1,500 mg if you're age 51 or older, or if you are black, or if you have high blood pressure, diabetes or chronic kidney disease. Keep in mind that these are upper limits, and less is usually best, especially if you're sensitive to the effects of sodium. If you aren't sure how much sodium your diet should include, talk to your doctor or dietitian."

Those guidelines have been in place for 5+ years now...~1/3 of the upper limit of daily sodium from one muffin is a tad high. Especially since for many people breakfast is the smallest meal of the day.

An occasional food splurge is fine...I'm speaking more towards those that do this daily.

Lots of people do it daily. Do you have an issue with trying to inform people in case they don't know general health guide lines?...If you don't do it daily that's great, but as I said you are not who I was targeting. I'm sure many of the people on here exceed 2300 mg of salt a day, with or without Mcdonalds. It adds up pretty quickly.

Sorry if that came off as snarky, it was not my intention.

Finally. Why has it taken them so long to do this!?!
