Backpack purchased. What goes in it for first day of school?

It's 8 glue sticks. So you have to buy a second pack for the extra two and it will get lost until younger child finds them and has glue hour.

You will find out after talking with the teacher if you don't already know.

Contrary to popular thought, no one will pass out if you show up on the first day with only 99 pencils.

OP here. Are you serious? Our supply list just said no 2 pencils and glue sticks. I was planning to just send one glue stick. Maybe I need to grab some extras...and some more pencils.

Not the PP, but our list said 6 folders and 6 composition books. Do they need that the first day? And 2 pairs of scissors and tissues?? I am really confused and sad.

I would just send it all on the first day if it fits in the backpack if you can't drop it off at the Open House the Friday before school starts (assuming your school has that too). It's more convenient to just send it all and not worry about it any more. If it doesn't fit, send it over two days.
