Are you returning or not returning to the same camp next year and why?

Valley Mill is fabulous -- we're in our 3rd summer and will go back next year -- but the swimming lessons are a weak point. If swimming is important to you, choose a different camp.

Oh no - they don't need swimming lessons, they are proficient swimmers. I just would like them to have the opportunity to swim during the week.

i don't think so bc/ of the bus system. they pick up at our stop at 8 and drop off at 5. not sure what the times are for the other locations.

Our times are 8:15am and 4:35pm

They swim twice a day - 1 instructional swim and 1 free swim.

Creative Summer 5th summer, since prek. Upper camp. DS loves it. Asked to go again next year. Nice variety of activities. He also did swim team so he didn't swim there this summer.

Definitely returning to Academy of Fine Arts camp (Gaithersburg) and Camp Sonshine - DD has insisted she wants to do both of them all summer, so I'm not quite sure how that will work out.

Not returning to Headfirst.

Happily returning to Mr. Tony's Adventure Hill. My son had a fantastic time on adventures around DC and always came home tired and happy.

Despite two excellent previous summers at FCPA recs, this summer was a real miss. They absolutely failed in hiring the right people as counselors. DS came home every day saying how bored he is. Next month he's vacationing with grandparents.

My kids really enjoyed Sidwell this year. Will be going back. My youngest was in the program for 4 year olds and he asked to go for more weeks.

We will also continue with Calleva.

Definitely returning to Levine music camp . Not sure about our other more general day camp.

Levine was more expensive and less hours that I'd have preferred. (Extended day only to 5, and I'm a working mom ). So we had our school-year babysitter come some days, just earlier (same#of hours). So it was workable.
Neither kid had requested it and I drove the decision -DH was laissez faire.i just wanted them to finally have some solid music exposure since I haven't ever gotten around to organizing lessons.

My kids loved it and told me they want to do it year after year. Glad I took the risk.

PP, same here! My DD was a little resistant, but she absolutely loved it and will go again next year. The show yesterday was great!

+1 on TIC Camp VA. DS will be a senior next year (rising 6th grade and above) so I thought he might be ready to drop it with all the other sports going on, but no - first thing he did on the last day was make sure I knew exactly what to sign up for the first day of registration so he gets it. Doesn't even go with any friends and still loves it every day. Four more camps this month, so we'll see how those rate.
