you have to empty it every time you pee correct? |
m No, I only empty it 3 times a day. |
+1. Diva cup can stay in for 12 hours at a time. I have yet to deal with it in a public restroom. Usually I'm back at home or at a hotel when I need to empty the cup. |
I only empty mine 2 times a day. Morning and evening. |
I empty mine 3 times a day on heavy days and sometimes once more at night but on normal light days, once in the morning and once before bed. But absolutely not every time I use the bathroom. |
| After DD, I lost my ability to use the OBs I'd used for years. And the little "skirt" thing they added to Tampax around the same time is nasty as all get out. With a paragard, I need Ultras and I like the Tampax Pearl Ultras. |
| Another vote for a cup. It's true it takes about 3 cycles to become a convert and to really get the hang of it but once you do, it is literally incredible that anyone still uses tampons. Much less cramping, much less mess and need to change, all in all SO much better. |
| NP here. If I wanted to try a cup, which one should I get? Should I start with a cheaper option like Evofem ($5) or Instead ($9) or is a Diva cup that much better ($28)? |
I'd try the instead (evofem is the parent company) it's only $5 from amazon |
| I'd go straight to the diva... |

| I have heavy periods and need to change my tampon every 2 hrs. Would this be the same for a cup? How much will it hold before leaking? |
| So I got the Instead cups - they are ENORMOUS!!! How do you get it inside? It opens up before I can get it very far in, and it's so slippery. I can do a tampon without an applicator, but I cannot figure out the cup. |
I was just like you which is why I switched to the Diva cup. I keep it in for 12 hours and the cup is no where close to full. The change from having to change every 2 hours to every -2 hours has been amazing!!!! |
