DCPS First Week of School for PK3

We are a Uniform school (Cleveland) but I don't know much more. Anyone know when we will get guidance so I can go buy stuff?

Cleveland has a new website. It's all on there--blue bottoms and white collared shirt. Pk3 and pk4 play date on 8/20 at the school, whee you can meet the teachers. Alphabet split on 8/27 or 8/28 first day of school, then 8/31 and on for
Entire class. We just got an email and a snail mail letter saying same.

Wait these dates must be for last year. Do the preschool kids go to school Monday after transition week this year since its not Labor Day?

I haven't heard anything from my school and they don't expect to send something out till mid-Aug but I have to give my day-care notice at least 30 days in advance.

Yes, they start the first full week on Monday Aug 31st.

Not us. We plan to take our only family vacation of the summer that week. Sorry in advance about the massive disturbance it will cause to all of my DC's classmates, and extra work it will cause to DC's Early Childhood teachers.

I don't know about DCPS, but if you were at our charter and had 5 consecutive unexcused absences that early in the year, your spot would go to someone on the waiting list. Call and check.

To the PP who couldn't find any other time the entire summer to take family vacation except for the week your kid starts school - you suck. If only your spot could be filled by someone who actually gave a crap.
