Wow. I had my 3 month premature baby a couple of months before turning 40 after trying for almost 3 years and two miscarriages. I'm always the oldest mom around preschool, kindergarten, etc. I think the youngest mom around I met was 13 years younger than me. I finally met an older mom whose kid is in my kid's class but she has an older teenage kid already. After reading this post, I don't feel like such an odd one out - maybe we should start a slightly older moms unite meet up!

Do you live in DC? I had my first at 32 and I always feel like the youngest mom around.

I got pregnant at 44. Had unprotected sex once. I didn't want to have another miscarriage, but DH insisted we try "just one last time." That was it. DD is now 9.
