I couldn't focus on work now if I wanted to! Now I must google missing person stories from NY and PA.

I find comfort that I'm not the only one COMPLETELY obsessed with this thread.

Okay, I finally caught up on that entire epic thread and I am positive this is the same troll that was on gurugossip. She was "jenxiety/alaina" on the organizedlikejen board.

Exactly the same MO. Same 'speech' pattern. On that thread she was making accusations about Jennifer Ross, but also pulling personal attention towards her about how the stress of it all was hurting her relationship. She was busy 'working' yet was on the thread all day long, almost exclusively to argue with people who questioned her. She would dangle proof and then pull it back saying she didn't want her personal info out there, but had no issue putting others info out. She pointed out real facebook profiles as proof of her story. She was very clever about giving just enough information but never enough. Her story always straddled the line between real and absurd. (think the strange bobcat poaching detail) She would email people and private message them and then say that proved she was real. She claimed the mods had proven she was real when they really hadn't. She used a ton of sock puppets.

Every time someone would give her a reasonable suggestion she would have an excuse not to do it or would have to do it later.

This is the same girl/guy whatever. I'm convinced.

+1!!!

Also, have the bobcats been discussed yet? Don't care about uncle J, just care about bobcats!

Can we keep this thread going for a bit? I can't go cold turkey on this story. I need some time to come to terms with the fact that it finally got locked.

I hope OP updates at some point.

Anonymous wrote:Its hard to explain the epic nature of this thread, but one of the amazing things about it is following the real time, rabid, sleuthing skills of the DCUM community, particular as compared to the OP's basic life skillz.

In part, OP was unable to provide a full picture up front. Started with missing boyfriend and spiraled from there. But key in the turning points of DCUM sympathy was when OP posted her BF was going hunting bobcat in N. Maine. Soon, DCUMers provided a chart proving that it was not bobcat season (but it was gray squirrel season) and thus "poaching bobcat" entered the vocabulary.

OP also posted numerous times on how she had, like, no way to find anyone to help her figure out what happened. Within a brief period of time, DCUMers had not only located a picture and name of the barbarically bearded, cow hauling lothario, who may or may not also be a meth dealer, but also his jolly uncle J, who runs an ice fishing business and has a Facebook page for his dog, or something and, importantly, was NOT hunting with his nephew over the weekend (sadly I missed the posts where the name was posted, so I have not been able to see Jolly Uncle J's FB page, but I hear he's quite a character).

DCUM provided numerous ways to contact Uncle J--and in fact, some perhaps did even contact him--but OP herself seems to have trouble with the mechanics of calling. We are all unclear as to whether OP actually called the sheriff or not, but perhaps Missing Boyfriend and Sheriff are in a meth cartel together.

Halfway through the thread, Jeff pulled up another thread from a couple months ago where OP was complaining that her "boyfriend" would often disappear for hours or days and not answer his phone, and that he lied about stuff. DCUM counseled that she DTMF, but one savvy poster, noting her ostrich like tendency to bury her head in the sand, predicted that she'd be back in two months complaining about him. Et voila. The OP's concern has gone from "Super concerned" to "slightly concerned" but has not yet been able to let it go.

I think we need to let DCUM handle this break up, but I am still trying to figure out the best way. At the very least, MissingBoyfriend88 needs to see this thread so he can see what majesty he has wrought.

Totally. Awesome.

Thank you.

It is a message board.

Some boards are centered on youtube channels, other boards are about lifestyle, beauty, parenting etc.

OP Here: there is nothing for me to update. If I happen to hear back from a trooper regarding an update at any point, I will update but until then...I have nothing to update.
