Op here, I have not heard from SJC yet and my DS is coming from a non-catholic HS

You said he's coming from another high school. Is he a transfer? that is much tougher. My DS transferred to SJC last year.

He is in 8th grade now and applying for 9th.

Btw this was the only school we applied to because we will go to Wilson if he does not get in.

Op here, you are completely right. I think I was just not very happy about the results and so I said that. I don't know everything about his admissions and I am embarrassed of what I said.
