Physical Attractiveness -- Face or Body?

Anonymous
I am a Female and I like a guy w/nice facial features vs. a great body.

Funny, tonight I was watching "Two and a half Men" on T.V. + realized that Jon Cryer has a very nice face. I love his facial features, yet wouldn't necessarily have noticed him for his body, nor do I think anyone else does.

Also, Eddie Redmayne and Ansel Elgort have very nice facial features as well.

If a man has a nice body, I hardly notice. I like face.

So I say 85% Face/15% Body.

In the 90's, I was NEVER into Fabio.

M-40s

65% face 35% body

I'm including hair w/ face. A pretty face and nice hair is most important to me. I'm somewhat flexible in the types of bodies I like. Women's bodies can be sexy from thin to a little overweight (modern definition) as long as they have proportional breasts and a shapely waist.

Jon Cryer for me will always be Ducky from Pretty in Pink. He plays characters that are losers, and second to actors like Andrew McCarthy, Charlie Sheen, and Ashton Kusher. The characters he plays make him less attractive, and the way he talks and whines. In real life he is probably gay.

I don't get the attractiveness of the Keira Knightly figures, though. I just saw her in a movie again, and she has no breasts. Her teeth are not great, and she looks like she has an underbite. Her hair is fine, thin, scraggly looking.

LOL what in the fuck? Kiera Knightley is absurdly beautiful. If you can't understand that then your barometer is broken.

Is Keira Knightly really insanely beautiful, or it is just the homosexual men in Hollywood market the look to men who have homosexual tendencies? Why not just be with a boy because that is what she looks like.

If most men didn't find women with curves sexy, then Playboy centerfolds and porn stars would have no breasts and look like Keira Knightly. But they don't.

Guy

This. Female. I know we are attracted to body shape for reproductive reasons, but facial symmetry is often a window into different health and genetic issues. So I think we are naturally attracted to symmetrical faces subconsciously thinking the person is healthier to reproduce with.

Another Man here...

I agree with PP at 8:04 that the face/hair combination of a woman trumps the body, by 70/30 for me.

I'm an old married man now but in younger days when I'd be out with buddies oogling the women most of the other guys would prefer the hot body and really didn't seem to care even a little if she was Boris above the shoulders. (Just shove her face down in the pillow, would be their chortling attitude.) I would be the reverse, attracted to the pretty face regardless of whether her body was perfectly sculpted. Pretty face, pretty eyes, nice hair...that's where it's at.

I love that we are still hot for each other. We have date nights and we love to laugh. I think I am lucky that we both come from intact families.

We get each other. We rarely fight. We both were brought up middle class but we worked our asses off to get where we are now. I feel blessed and I am a happy person when I was broke or where am at today.

Wrong thread.

You never know. He's married to Lisa Joyner who is pretty nice looking, but that doesn't mean much. Tom Cruise has been married too and he's probably gay.

Cryer was asked directly not long ago if he was gay and he said no, he's just an effeminate heterosexual dork.

Ha ha. Who was it who said, "If I had a dollar for every woman that found me unattractive, they'd all find me attractive."

Woman -- for me it's 40 face, 60 body.

I'm pretty hot (call me an ass if you want), and my hubby is pretty average. We produced some gorgeous kids. There's this weird phenomena that exists, for some reason two very attractive people seem to produce unattractive kids (or strange looking kids), but you take one hottie and one average guy and you have really hot children. They have some unique features you can't replicate otherwise -- makes them strikingly unique and beautiful. And yes I'm generalizing, there are no absolutes.

Case in point: Angelina Jolie's parents (John Voight's her dad, her mom is hot), Ryan Reynolds parents (google them).... I could go on...
