Ugh can't of names. The Carson & female in charge of the staff and Mary. I think, under duress, the female head of staff told Anna's husband. I think Barrow, of course, suspects something

Bates knows she was raped but not by whom

Bates knows. That's why he offed that guy.

Well, he suspects who it was, but no one told him.

Bates and Mrs. Hughes both know.

She runs the "gamut of emotions, from A to B."

Anonymous wrote:No, I'm sorry I think Edith is being incredibly selfish. I don't want her to "get" Marigold. She's was incredibly selfish to take her away from the first adoptive family and being even more selfish by trying to take her away from the farmer's family. Marigold is bonded with the family, happy, and well cared for. For any mother that would be a God send.

She should have said Marigold was an orphan and brought her back to DA in the first place if she was going to do this. So awful for the kid.

They couldn't have a third random kid in the mansion. There are already two with unique story lines there. I was surprised by the dowager and the aunt's insistence that Marigold be shipped off to France to a school. That would be awful for Marigold being separated from her family.

But I do kind of want Edith to take off and run off with Marigold. At least then Edith would finally be happy. Hopefully she will run off to American and not to Germany.

Thomas is looking worse and worse. Just watch, in the next episode he will look like one of the walking dead and someone will just casually say again, "Oh, Thomas, you look dreadful." And then forget about him 5 minutes after that.

I suspect that there are several "Isises" on the set.

I was very bored watching this episode, and I used to love it!

Is Mary getting together with the other guy?

Who did kill green? Those cops look so incompetent--coming by 10 times to ask a few questions each time, come on.

Cora is so ridiculous, but Edith is far worse.

To be fair, she does have at least three varieties of simper.

All I hear is Henrietta Pussycat when she speaks. Oh Robert, meow meow meow meow meow.

I feel sorry for the actress who plays Edith - her storyline isn't going anywhere. Maybe with the phone call, it finally will.

And I have no interest in who Isobel ends up with. So boring.

I did like when Robert clocked that guy.

Can someone remind me how Mary knows? Did anna tell her when they were going to come back and visit DA?

Yes, Anna told her, but it seems like she told her the stranger that broke in story.

"As Mary offers to help and says the family doctor can help, maid Anna says: “I don’t mind your knowing and I am glad there is honesty between us again, but I can’t talk about it.”

Anna then continues to lie that a burglar raped her and not the valet Mr Green." mirror.co.uk

I actually think only Mrs Hughes knows it was Green. Bates and Mary know it was someone, and she told them the breakin story, but never told them flat out.

That's why they had to marry her off to a British aristocrat who needed the money more than someone with something going on, such as a personality or brain

PP Since you have no interest in who Isobel ends up with, I am arbitrarily assigning you to team Dr. Clarkson. With Lord Merton pouring on the charm and interest in medicine, the Dr. needs all the support he can get. You may not care about Isobel, but Dr. Clarkson -- come on -- the man has been pining away for Issy since World War I.

Mary must know it was Green. She told Gillingham to fire him. And she knows why they suspect Bates of the murder.
