Downton Abbey Feb 1 Super Bowl edition (Spoilers)

Edith would only have spent an hour a day with Marigold if she was living under the roof at DA anyway. Kids were raised by nannies/governesses, seen but not heard.

Any chance Edith flees to the US with the child and the soon-to-be-charged Bates go with her pretending Marigold as theirs?

Which Bates is going to be charged? Mr or Mrs?

I don't know...I was still annoyed by this episode. Too many tedious storylines and not enough movement with them. I'm bored. I've loved the show but to be honest I'm glad next season will be the last. I'd like to smack Julian Fellowes for his shitty writing this season.

I'm going with Mrs.

Ok. I suck. Can someone please remind me and DH: who knows that Anna was raped by Greene? It seems forever ago and we can't remember.

Cora seems like someone with all the lights on but no one is home.

Ugh can't of names. The Carson & female in charge of the staff and Mary. I think, under duress, the female head of staff told Anna's husband. I think Barrow, of course, suspects something

Good riddance Bunting. Don't let the door hit you in the...

Edith. Poor, poor Edith. I'm still thinking she's going t go to America.

Happy for Rose. He reminds me of a young Prince William.

Exactly what I was thinking! Though better looking than the real Prince William. I think Rose is adorable and deserves a good romance.

As for Edith, what on earth were Aunt Rosamund and the dowager urging her to do? Put Marigold in a French school, with no one who loves her? What a ridiculous idea. By now, the farmer and his wife have bonded completely with Marigold and I think it would just be so cruel to remove her from their family. I feel for Edith, but also for the farmer and wife! I think Edith was calling a lawyer in London, though I don't know to what end.

Why doesn't Cora pick up on what's going on right in front of her face? She walks in on the dowager, Aunt Rosamund, and Edith, all intently discussing something, and doesn't even wonder what's going on? Wake up, Cora!!

I think Cora finds Edith too hard and is happy to pawn off the responsibility of mothering her to others.

Bates knows she was raped but not by whom

Scotland Yard is going to find Mary's "thing" hidden at the Bates cottage. Anna will be arrested. It will be terrible. Grey jail scenes, hardened prostitutues, poor innocent Anna. Mary will have to confess that she's a harlot and will thereby come to Anna's rescue. Anna and Bates will kiss sweetly.

Gah, Anna, so GOOD and loyal, and look where it's going to get her.

That is right. He was told someone broke in, a stranger. But does he really not know?
